I am so sorry for the loss of this loving man, Rod was kind and hard working he also an amazing sense of humor I was privileged to know him and work with him and Rene for a short while when I first came to Fort St John. Rod always had a smile on his face and I am devastated for the loss of this amazing human being and for his family and friends.

Our community is poorer and sadder for the loss of Rod. We were all privileged to know him and call him one of our own.
His charm and smile will be sorely missed in a world that needs more people like Rod.
Our sincere condolence to Rod's family and friends at this sad time.

I was so very saddened to hear of the passing of Rod! He truly was one of a kind. He was one of the friendliest people I knew, and whenever I meet him he always would say hi and we would have a brief chat.

Susan and I send our deepest condolences to Rod's family and many friends. Having briefly had the priviledge of being a colleague I have fond memories of Rod as a friendly and compassionate person. I knew Rod from working at various banks in the city. He was the most polite man and always had a smile. We ate at his restaurant many times and remembered our names. I will miss his smile and his good food. I’m sending condolences to his family and friends. He was a kind gentleman.

Greatly saddened to hear of Rod's passing. I have many fond memories of Rod, but my favorite was from my wedding day. We had our dinner and celebration at Mama Pandas and as always Rod was the most amazing host. While the servers were around, Rod, himself took care of our party, all smiles and jokes. He never forgot your name, he never forgot a face. He was always welcoming. Rod, you will be missed. Our condolences to your family and to all those who hold you in their hearts and memories. Rest Well, Good Sir, you have done your job well. ❤️

I remember the first time I met Rod. He had the Phillipine Village up at the north end of town. He was hoping to draw customers with a live band, and gave us an opportunity, even though we were 16 in a licensed premises. That was 1983, and he had the biggest welcoming smile that I'll never forget. He had the same amazing smile the last time I saw him at Mama Panda when he was in visiting after his retirement, and after he shared that he was sick. Few people can leave a lasting impression like that...he was always smiling, and always happy and friendly. He will be missed, but never forgotten. Our deepest heartfelt condolences.
