Very few grandchildren experience the love, devotion and fun that Joel and Linnea were blessed to experience with their Grandpa Tim. Our love and prayers are with Ryan and Pam and Connie through this very difficult time.

I think the best way I can sum up who Tim and how much we will miss him is with this story: "About 10 years ago, Tim offered to babysit my then 2 year old son, Cameron, and my newborn, so I could attend a short concert with his wife, Connie. During the evening, Cameron had developed a fascination with the gas fireplace. Tim had told Cameron not to touch the hot fireplace numerous times. Cam looks right at him, spreads his palms and places them on the glass and burns them. When I came to pick up the children, Tim, or Grandpa Rempel as my kids called him, was quite upset and worried about Cameron. He had gently wrapped Cam's hands and put some burn-lotion on them. Still, the next morning, Cameron's hands had large blisters on them and my husband was out of town at the time and I had no way to get him to the hospital. Tim drove to my house in a horrific blizzard, picked us up and drove us to the hospital. He explained to the nurse what happened when I received the "did you do this to your child" drill, helped to hold a screaming baby so I could hold Cameron as the nurse re-wrapped Cameron's hands, drove me to go get children's Tylenol, took us to church, bought us lunch, entertained us for the evening and drove us home." My family will miss your generosity and love, Tim. You showed us all what it means to love our Father and how He wants us to live...

I worked with Tim at RE/MAX & also lived down the street from him & Connie when we first moved to FSJ. He was a great guy always willing to help, always a smile & kind words. He will be missed by us all. My heart goes out to Connie and family while they deal with the loss Tim.

I worked with Tim at Re/Max. He was there early in the morning and was one of the last to leave. He was always pleasant and had a laugh that came from his heart. He will be deeply missed. My condolences to his family and friends.A candle was lit
