Obituary GILLIE, Johnnie Raymond December 21, 1957 - February 22, 2013 It is with great sadness that the family of Johnnie Gillie announces his sudden passing on February 22, 2013. John is survived by his loving wife Colleen Gillie, mother Irene Gillie, son Justin Gillie (Nikki Averill), daughter Crystal Gillie(Ron Johnson) and step-daughters Kim Trask (Chuck MacNeil) and Lindsay Trask. He is also survived by five beautiful grandchildren, Kaylee and Ty Gillie, Jordan Johnson, Alex and Kacey MacNeil. Many wonderful aunts, uncles and cousins also mourn for him. John was born in Dawson Creek, BC and resided in Hudson's Hope, BC. He is predeceased by his father Phillip and brother Paul. John will be laid to rest in the Hudson's Hope cemetery, on the banks of the Peace River Valley he treasured. John's greatest joy was to make people laugh and have fun. In that light, friends and family are invited to share a celebration of his life at 2:00 pm, Saturday March 2, 2013 at the Community Hall in Hudson's Hope. Bring your instruments to play the music he loved, your voices to sing the songs and share your memories of our best friend. Last respects and good-byes can be said at Hamre's Funeral Chapel in Fort St. John on Wednesday, February 27, from 6:30 to 8:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
