I was very fortunate to have had the honour or caring for Maria while she was in care at the North peace care centre as well as Peace Villa. I loved Maria and walked many a mile hand in hand in the hallways of the care home with her while my mom was sleeping etc .. Maria loved my moms room and would come in and sit in her big old leather chair with her knees folded up under her chin and just rest. I think it was a great comfort to my mom (Marjorie Kindrat). She would look over and see Maria and would seem to rest a bit better. Maria loved having her nails and hair done, and did she ever have a lovely head of thick white hair. We lost our mom in October, so I can really relate to your loss. I am sorry and glad to hear that Maria has left this world. I hope she died peacefully in her chair.A candle was lit
My GRANDMA was an amazing lady, so strong, so much heart, so much energy and an unbelievable love for her family. May you finally rest in peace! We loved you always!
