My very special friend and colleague- I remember sooo many good memories (going through the inspirations and struggles with our AHCOTE Cohort teaching together at Central, the flowers we shared and enjoyed so much, the conversations that were rich and fulfilling) . Your light was and will continue to be part of my every days. Your enthusiasm, your strength your perseverance your infectious positivity! Donna-Lee you are a forever friend and a gift from the heavens. I guess they wanted you back- lucky heavens. I'll hold onto our memories and I know you will be close to me in my days. My hugs go to Donna's whole family for the passing of an amazing lady. She was a great teacher and influenced many kids to be the best they could. I remember Ms. Cooper from grade 3. One day the canteen staff forgot my lunch order and she could tell I was upset. She asked me what was wrong but I was too shy to tell her. She never said a word, she walked over to the canteen and bought me lunch. She taught us many things but one of the days I remember most ( besides the day she showed us how rain fell by using mason jars upside down) was when she taught us all of the colors of the rainbow. Today I can't look at a rainbow without thinking about my grade three teacher. She didn't teach our class very long but she left a lasting impression. This was all over 25 years ago now; and to be honest, I don't think I saw her again after that year. I won't forget her kindness, compassion and gentle spirit. I think every kid needs just one teacher like her, at least once in their lifetime.Rest peacefully, Ms. Cooper. Thank you for teaching us more than you ever had to.

Im so sorry to hear about Donna passing. Ive known her through working at the school district for years. I always loved that she just had that bright spark of life despite everything she went through in her life. May she Rest In Peace and be free of pain.
