Shirley, Matthew, Heidi & families... We were saddened with you when we heard the news of Jordan's passing, but we were blessed to be able to watch the wonderful funeral from Fairmont that you planned to celebrate Jordan's life! It was such a blessing to hear Pastor Tom's & Matthew's, as well as Jordan's friend's, wonderful tributes shared in the service, as well as Heidi's thoughtful eulogy of her dearly loved brother Jordan.... so many wonderful memories of Jordan came to mind as each of the tributes and the eulogy were shared! I can still remember one of the numerous 'Iron Gut' Competitions at Youth Night where Jordan would have done anything to win that trophy. I can't recall whether Jordan won or not, but he was the only youth to swallow a live goldfish, as I recall! As to Jordan's love of sports and competition, I can vividly recall an outdoor Youth Skating Night on a crystal-clear Charlie Lake in front of our home, where Jordan fired a puck which slid forever on the perfect ice... when he skated to fetch the puck he disappeared as he decided to skate miles down Charlie Lake, before returning to our place for the rest of the Youth Event... that was Jordan! A third memory: Jordan's love for Louis L'amour novels when I was his Grade 9 teacher at Christian life School... I well remember many admonitions about Jordan's 'creative writing' activities in school... I was well-warned of these, as well as his other scholastic antics, by both his brother Matt and sister Heidi, as well as his dad, before that school year began. (Kinda reminded me of myself at that age). When the class was given a list of novels to choose from to complete a detailed novel study, Jordan came to me one day after class pleading to do his study based on a Louis L'amour novel... my reaction: "Why not? Nobody's written a Cole's Notes version of Louis L'amour novels yet! Jordan will be forced to do this assignment on his own!!!" And Jordan did a commendable job on that assignment, to be sure! Jordan was truly a wonderful, a relational, a loving and incredible individual who loved people and loved fun! He was a terrific friend to our 3 kids, especially Joel... Jordan, we miss you big time already! But we know that someday in the not too distant future we're gonna see you again for eternity, and for this we are eternally grateful! Love you, Jordan! - Gord & Ruth Stock

Thank you for allowing us to participate in the funeral. Jordan meant a lot to me. We shared a dark sense of humour, self deprecating tendencies and we both felt pressure to be a better person. I met him years ago as a teen on a mission trip to Mexico and felt understood by someone, and able to laugh in the face of darkness. We reconnected a few years ago. Im really grateful for that. I know Im one among many who couldnt help but adore him and who felt seen by him, he just had a way of making a person feel accepted.

Aunt Shirley, I remember a story you told me once when I was a kid. As best as I can remember When Jordan was just a little tike, you took him to see a movie about a mother duck who adopted a duckling . When the movie was over, you looked at Jordan and he had tears streaming down his face. He said, She adopted him! So sweet.A candle was lit

My brother and I grew up with Jordan. Dennis was my teacher. One memory I have of Jordan was his ability to run like the wind. He used to run to school from atop the Montney Cooley all the way to Upper Pine. We played sports together, we used to get in shit together. Very saddened to here of his passing. RIP Jordan, youll be missed bud.

Jordan and I were counselors together at Blueberry Bible Camp when we were teenagers. We used to get up before the campers to ensure we had hot showers. Jordan always the athlete was up and ready to go often hovering like 2 inches over my face to terrifyingly wake me up. He thought that was so hilarious. One of my favorite memories was hiding behind the riflery stands with his brother Matt and secretly shooting Jordan with pellet guns when he ran by as he was always training it seemed like. Matt and I laughed so hard until Jordan figured out where the bee stings were coming from. Then we ran... I lost touch with Jordan over the years but my heart is breaking for the family right now! Always in my memories, you will be missed.
