Obituary
CURTIS EASTCOTT
May 5, 1963 – March 13, 2022
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Curtis Allan Eastcott. Curtis passed away suddenly at his home on March 13, 2022. Left to cherish his memory are his daughters, Jean and Janice Eastcott, mother Fern Eastcott, sister Heidi (Darren) Gruenke and many nephews and nieces.
Curtis was employed overseas with Arctic Construction in 1993, working his way up the ranks from driving truck to senior safety & logistics manager. After returning back to Canada in 2014, he took on a new role as the yard and equipment fleet manager. This was a position he enjoyed.
Most important to Curtis was his family. He was very proud of his beautiful girls and their many accomplishments. He was a wonderful son, father, brother, and uncle, always quick to embrace a teaching moment where he could share his wisdom. His sense of humor, great big hugs, and “get’er done” attitude will be dearly missed. His footprint of life here on earth will forever remain in our hearts with love.
Curtis was an avid hunter, fisherman, and outdoor enthusiast. It brought him great joy to spend time developing his land and making it his own. Curtis’ latest adventure was taking flying lessons which he very much enjoyed.
A celebration of life will be held on his land at a later date where you can be sure he will be there in spirit saying, “have one for me brother!” In lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy can be made in memory of Curtis to the North Peace Seniors Housing Society, 9816 108 Ave, Fort St John, BC V1J 5S4.
Honorary pallbearers: Lake Pickell, Owen Pickell, Darren Gruenke, Donald Lecuyer.
