Obituary of Stephen Sibley
Obituary STEPHEN JOHN SIBLEYMarch 25, 1968 - SEPTEMBER 30, 2007Stephen was born in Portage la Prairie, Manitoba to parents Harold & Geraldine Sibley.He spent his early childhood years in the Winnipeg area before moving with is family tothe Fort St John, RC. area in 1980. The next several years were spent with his family atthe church community in Pink Mountain, RC. From there, he headed for the Yukonwhere he finished high school and looked for adventure. He eventually began workingwith heavy equipment - especially excavators - and worked at the mine in Faro. He latermoved to Watson Lake, Yukon before eventually heading south to the Vancouver area.Step hen made friends wherever he went and continued to value these relationships evenwhen distance separated them. He also had a love for music - playing the guitar andsinging, first with his sisters when he was young, and later with like-minded friends.Stephen returned to Fort St. John in 2005 so that he could be closer to his parents and 4sisters whom he loved dearly. He continued to operate heavy equipment and made tripsto Pink Mountain to visit his parents whenever possible. These were wonderful, happyvisits and will always be remembered as a gift from God.Most importantly, Stephen also renewed his relationship with Jesus Christ and sought towalk more closely with God. There is no doubt that he loved Jesus, loved his parents, hissisters, family and friends.Thanks to all of you for your part in Stephen's life.Stephen is survived by his parents: Harold & Geraldine Sibley, his sisters: Caroline (Rod)Nelson, Susan (Daniel) Coy, Ruth (Victor) Banaszak, and Joanne Sibley. He is also sadlymissed by his nephew and nieces: Timothy, Danielle and Carissa Coy and Erin Banaszak.He was our son - our brother - our nephew - our uncle - our friend.Fondly remembered - Sadly missed - Loved always.(Special thanks to everyone who has sent cards, gifts, flowers, and food. Your care hasdeeply touched us in our time of sorrow.)
