Patrick (Pat) Joseph Pimm
March 31, 1957 - September 18, 2024
Pat passed away suddenly in Prince George, British Columbia, on September 18, 2024, with his wife Cathy at his side.
Pat will be missed tremendously by his daughters Jennifer (Anthony) Pimm and Kristi (Tracy) Deuchar.
He was much loved Grandpa to Reid, Lucas, Violet, and Sebastien. He is also survived by brothers Larry (Pearl), Darwin (Monica), Ron (Donna) and Ed (Rebecca).
Pat was predeceased by his parents Cecil and Josephine Pimm (Cassidy) and sister-in-law Betty Pimm.
Pat will always be remembered and loved by his mother-in-law Margaret Denning, his sister-in-law Cyndi (David) Cramer, and brothers-in-law John (Jenn) Denning,
Dan Denning and David (Jennifer) Denning. He was stepfather to Michael (Doyeon) Edmunds and grandfather to their son Llew,
and stepfather to Traci (Doug) Osborne and grandfather to their children Cael, and Rane.
Pat left behind many cherished nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Pat was born and raised in Fort St. John, where he was proud to serve his community in a variety of ways.
A hockey player in his youth, he moved to golfing, where he became president of Lakepoint Golf and Country Club from 1988-1992, and then later to curling.
He was elected to city council in 1993, and his political career took him to serve as MLA for the North Peace Region in 2009 until 2017.
Pat was appointed Minister of Agriculture from June 2013 to April 2014, when he relinquished his position due to illness.
Pat took to retirement with much enthusiasm, enjoying his grandchildren, and time spent with Cathy, family, and friends in their homes both in British Columbia and in Florida.
Pat will forever be remembered for his love of family, his devotion to his career, and those who knew him will continue to honour the legacy he leaves behind.
Funeral service for Pat will be held Tuesday, October 1, 2024 at 1:00 pm at the Catholic Church of the Resurrection with a graveside service to follow at Woodlawn Cemetery.
