Obituary of Norman Wallace Snow

It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden and unexpected passing of Norman Wallace Snow. “Stormin’ Norman, the master of disaster”, passed away on September 10th, 2024, at the age of 62. Norm was born on October 4th, 1961, in Gander, Newfoundland. He lived life on his own terms. Doing what he wanted, when he wanted. He had big mitts but an even bigger heart. Leaving an unforgettable mark on everyone he met. He had a tough as nails exterior, but his kindness, generosity and drive to help anyone who needed him was one of his greatest traits. He would help anyone and everyone. Even giving the shirt off his back and his last five bucks to someone who needed it.

Norm, a jack of all trades, was a provider. Doing anything it took to support his family. When a problem arose, on a job site or in life, he would adapt with quick on the spot, crafty, creative, and clever solutions. Surprising many who had the opportunity to witness him in action. Norm lit up the darkest room with his humour and quick wit, making people gravitate to him. His ability to tell stories had anyone listening on the edge of their seats and entertained for hours. He knew what to say and when to say it, lifting the spirits of anyone. He forgot more than you will ever know. As he used to say, “it’s not that I talk fast, it’s just that you understand slow”.

He was a master at darts as well as math and numbers. Adding or subtracting faster then you could type on a calculator. Norm is survived by his partner Raven. A loving father, tough, tender and kind. What beautiful memories you left behind with your three children, Marlene, Kenny and Stephen. Also survived by his mother Ruby and his siblings, Norma, Don, Dulcie, Juanita, Truman, Eugene, Patsy, Harris and Maggie. Predeceased by his father Norm Snow.

Norm did the best he could with the tools he got.
