Obituary of Lorraine Almond

Lorraine Mona Clare Almond (Cooper) was born August 20th, 1936 in Dawson Creek, BC, to Jack and Clara Cooper.

She married the love of her life, Gordon William Almond, on July 15th, 1954.  They had four children, Debra Morton (Dale), Lynn Basisky (Brent), Gordie Almond, and Darren Almond.  They also had numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren, as well as nieces and nephews.

Lorraine is survived by her brother, Don Cooper, of Drayton Vallery, AB.

In September 1991, Lorraine and Gordon lost their youngest son, Darren.  Then in July 2003, she lost her husband, Gordon, and in 2010, she lost her eldest son, Gordie.

Our family was so blessed with all the love, support, and kindness of friends and the community throught their lives.

Mom passed away quietly with family by her side on August 14th, 2024.  She will once again be with her boys.

At her request, there will be no funeral or celebration of life.
