Obituary of Annie Siluch

Annie Siluch

May 12, 1934 - July 12, 2024

Annie Siluch (nee Semko) was born on May 12, 1934 in Edmonton, Alberta. She was born to Tekla and Mike Semko and was raised in Edmonton. She graduated from Victoria Composite High School in 1953 and then married her husband, Stanley Siluch on August 17, 1956 at the MacDougall United Church in Edmonton.

Annie and Stanleys first son, Richard was born in Vulcan, Alberta on March 19, 1957, and the family moved to Fort St. John, BC where their second son, Kevin was born on March 22, 1963.

Together, Annie and Stanley built a thriving business called Siluch's Rathole Drilling Ltd., where Anne took care of the books and administration and Stan operated the oilfield. Sadly, Stan passed away on November 27, 1989 and the business was subsequently sold.

More heartache followed when youngest son Kevin, passed away in 2014 and the eldest son Richard, on February 15, 2022.

Anne received a Certificate of Life Membership on February 22, 2016 from the BC Association of Healthcare Auxiliaries, and on February 20, 2023 from the Fort St. John Hospital Auxiliary. She was very proud of her long service to the Hospital Auxiliary and she cherished her Auxiliary friends.

A graveside service will be held at Woodlawn Cemetery, Fort St. John, BC on Monday, September 9, 2024 at 12:00 pm where the ashes of Anne, Richard and Kevin will be joined with Stan. The family will be together in peace.
