Obituary for Ken Hermans

1949 - 2024

Ken Hermans of Fort St John, BC passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 4, 2024, at the age of 74. 

He battled cancer and kidney disease with all his might, but his body could take no more. 

Ken was born in Rossland, BC on May 31, 1949.  Ken worked as an electrician in Fort St John.  He loved his family and was always there for us. 

Ken enjoyed renovating. He redid our family home, and we worked as a family to build a cottage. 

When Ken brought out his measuring tape and a piece of paper, we knew that a new project was about to begin. 

We would look at his estimate of what that project would cost and then double the price. 

His sense of humour brought laughter into our life, and he will live on in our hearts.

Ken is survived by his wife Cheri Hermans,

his son Dan Hermans, and his grand daughter Julie Hermans. 

Ken was predeceased by his son David Hermans.
