Obituary of Peter Nielsen

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Niels Peter Nielsen (Pete), who passed away peacefully on November 14, 2023 in Fort St John, BC.

 

Pete was born on August 1, 1942 in Aalborg, Denmark. He was a gentle man who enjoyed a good laugh and loved his family. He worked for many years as a heavy duty mechanic in BC and the Yukon. He loved his garden, fishing, travel and his dog.

 

Pete was predeceased by his wife Judy and his parents Christian and Gertrud. He is survived by his daughter Diane, son-in-law Richard, granddaughter Shannon, sister Christine, brothers Hans and Henry. Pete was also predeceased by his second wife Sandi and survived by her sons, Kyle and Matthew and grandson, Brady

 

Pete was a kind and generous man who was always willing to lend a helping hand. He was beloved by friends and family. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

 

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Pete’s memory to either the MS Society, or Breast Cancer Research.

 

A private family service will be held at a later date.
