After separating from Henry in 1962, Florence moved back to Big River, Saskatchewan where she met and lived common law with Kenneth Calvin Vaudreuil.

In 1965 They moved to Estevan, Saskatchewan where they had 2  daughters. Claudine and Verna.

Through life she acquired different skills such as night security/hotel clerk, customer service in retail & fast food establishments, metal casting. When she was younger had started to learn bookkeeping which could not be completed due to lack of financial support as well as daycare.

In the late 1990's Florence moved back to Fort Saint John where she remained until her passing October 22, 2023 from the progression of Type 1 Diabetes,  COPD and Dementia.

She was predeceased by both her parents, 4 siblings, and 2 sons.

She leaves behind 4 daughters.

Florence will be remembered for her infectious laugh, her love of plants and flowers, baking bread and cinnamon buns, her very sharp and strategic hand at playing crib, her love of the country classics and attending church as well as Bible study groups.

A big thank you to her close friend, Janice, who visited her twice per week while she lived at Peace Villa and would often read Bible quotes, play crib or card games.

A very big and appreciative thank you to the nurses, care aides and staff at Peace Villa; Dr Loomes her family doctor.
