Obituary of Brooke Sara Cunningham

Obituary On October 1st, 2023 our hearts were shattered and forever broken. Surrounded by her heartbroken family, our girl Brooke Sara Cunningham soared to heaven with the angels. She was 35 years old. Brooke had so many people who loved her. She made it so easy. She captured many hearts with her tight as can be hugs. She loved purely and unconditionally. She brightened your day with her smile. Brooke was a girl of few words but she could chat up a storm. She never missed a chance to say “Hi!” Brookie loved to snuggle. She would curl up on your lap and take your hand to rub her back, always being insistent on it. If you stopped she would place your hand back. Brookie had so many challenges in life but she never let that interfere with her happiness. She was the most loving and bubbly girl. We were so blessed to have had her with us 35 years but selfishly we all wanted more. Tomorrow will not be as bright for us. Brookie is so loved and cherished by her parents Shawn and Laurie. She was loved and fiercely protected by her big sister Nicole, (Gikki). Nicole’s husband Brad, our 3rd son , was Brooke’s love. She loved and adored her Bubba. Her brothers Jake and Sam would go through fire for their sister. Jake took her in his car, the faster the better. Sam would spend hours playing music for her while she danced, swinging side to side. They loved her beyond words. Brookies two nieces Serenity and Willow and two nephews Chase and Gryffin enjoyed spending time and playing with her. The love between them all was heartwarming. Brookie also leaves behind her maternal Grandparents June and Doug Baker and Dave and Audrey Grace. She was predeceased by her paternal Grandparents Winn and Ray Cunningham. Her Aunt Debbie had a special place in her heart for Brooke. Brookie also leaves behind her Aunt Angela (Richard) and her Uncle Michael (Lisa), cousins, nieces and nephews, as well as great Uncle Barney and great Aunt Linda. Brookie, you were our forever baby. Our earth Angel. We will always have a huge hole in our hearts, missing you every day. You were our Sunshine. We love you sweet girl, forever and always. The service will be held on Tuesday October 10th, 2023 at 1:30PST (2:30MST, 3:30CST, 4:30EST and 5:30AST) at St. Luke's Presbyterian Church, Oshawa (333 Rossland Rd. W), Ontario.
