Obituary of Wade Hubley

Obituary Wade Robert Hubley was a true cowboy. Although nothing gave him more pleasure then spending hours farming the land. He loved a horse he couldn?t tame as much as he took pride in riding a well broke horse. He was a wily bushman who lived by the land.Wade was born in Edmonton, Alberta on November 28, 1952 to Robert and Margaret Hubley. His eldest brother Rocky and his younger brother Skye. His father died when he was 16 and the boys had to grow up fast. Wade did everything he could to help out and finally fulfilled his dream when he bought a quarter section of land in Taylor just a few years ago. When Wade was 18 he met Jo-Ann. Wade always had something witty to say, yet when it came to approaching a dark haired beauty it took a little liquid courage. Fortunately for Wade, Joann was? well lets just say not nearly so bashful. They were married May 12, 1977. For better or worse they went everywhere together. They loved hunting, fishing, camping and were just plain inseparable. Wade had many jobs starting at 14 including pipelining, laying railway tracks, and fencing. Wade published a few short stories called, ?Tree Line?. He felt you were never too old to follow your dreams. For the last 9 years he proudly worked for Grimes Well Services. A job he enjoyed until he died coming home from work last Saturday. Wade and Jo-Ann have two children: Harmony and Chance. Wade gave them all the time in the world and enough love to last them their lives. He will remain an inspiration in everything they do. The Hubley family would like to take a moment to recognize that there are moments that will not be shared with Wade. He won?t be there for his son?s graduation next year or have the opportunity to give his daughter away when she marries. He will miss his 31st wedding anniversary this May. Christmas won?t be the same without him to put a star on the tree and he will never get to hold a grand child. There will be a little less laughter in our lives since he has passed. There are also many tragedies in life that Wade will never have to endure, so we must remember that too. Wade had one wish that was fulfilled, that he died before his wife and children. He always said he would rather die with his boots on then in a hospital bed. Wade was generous with his time which is the most valuable thing. The compassion he gave to all that he touched will live on for all time. With a tragic accident like this, we know and acknowledge that the other family must also be overwhelmed with grief as we are. We hope and pray that they will be comforted during this difficult time and find peace. Please know that Wade taught us what it is to forgive. Services
