I had the privilege of meeting and working with Brian, when he first arrived as a radio reporter at CJDC in 1992. Many years have passed since then, but I can vividly remember the enthusiam and passion he brought to the newsroom. Brian's wide smile and warm personality were so uplifting, and inspiring, especially on those dark, cold, winter mornings, that often started at five am. It was clear very early on that Brian had a nose for news, and I'm extremely proud to learn he made such a profound impact on the broadcasting industry. He was a caring, compassionate, and loving person; his devotion to family and friends unshakeable. I'm deeply saddened that a life such as his has been cut short. While his many gifts are celebrated today, I realize how blessed I am to have known Brian. My heart goes out to Brian's family and friends during this difficult time.respectfully yours,Graeme BurnsCJDC radio news/sports reporter1991-1993

My deepest sympathies to Brian'sfamily. It was a great shock to hearof his death. We haven't spoken in some time, but I was thinking of him just last week and find it hard to fathom he is gone. Brian was among the first people I hired to join the staff of CKWX NEWS1130 when it started up in 1996 and he quickly became one of our best employees. He was also a good friend and I admired his humanity. I will miss him. The radio industry haslost a terrific soul.

Brian will be remembered in our hearts forever as an extremely funny man, who always knew the right time to use the punchline. We both had the priviledge of working with Brian, and sharing our free time in Stage North together. We know that Brian is grinning down upon us, waiting to throw the gummy lips. Remember, "it's just a jump to the left"...

My sincere condolences to Carolyn and Brian's family. We are all still in shock. We will certainly miss Brian's insightful and witty comments during our monthly conference calls. My last contact with Brian was Friday when he sent me a funny Bud commercial via Facebook. He will be missed. I'm sorry I can not attend the service as I will be away, but my thoughts will be with you.Betty

Brain was such a kind and gental man. The oportunities we had to speak, either at the Company functions or at the office reflected that. He will be missed. My heart goes out to you Carolyn. If there is anything I can do to help, please let me know.
