Obituary of Borge Miller

Obituary Borge Baldur Miller was born in Stokkemarke the island of Lolland, Denmark February 1, 1929. Borge served in the army before coming to Canada. Borge came to Canada in 1954 to go bear hunting, and never returned home. He moved to Fairview, Alberta to live and work for his uncle. From there Borge came to Taylor B.C. looking for work. It was the time when the Taylor refinery was getting started. Eventually he was hired on as a laborer and stayed till the plant was up and running. Borge became a Canadian Citizen in 1961. He loved the Peace River country with it?s fishing and hunting. Also in his younger years he had a snowmobile and motorcycle. His vehicles were his pride and joy, always polishing and cleaning them. Borge went to work at the Bennett Dam in Hudson?s Hope. He was a crane operator and stayed there until the Bennett Dam was finished. He had many stories to tell. In 1966 Borge received an award for loading 150,000 cubic yards of earth in 24 hours while working for Kiewit Dawson-Johnson. After the Bennett Dam, Borge returned to Fort St. John. Borge was a Husband and friend to Dorothy. Loving step-father to Patricia (Curtis) Yaeger, Jeffery (Melissa) Arnold and William Arnold. Cherished grandfather to Zachari, Kali, and Myka. Borge also has several nieces and nephews as well as a sister in law living in Denmark. Borge was predeceased by his father, mother and 2 brothers in Denmark.
