Obituary of Mary Budac

Obituary Mary was the eldest of ten children born to Leo and Anna Wagner in Provost, Alberta.Mary lost her mother at the age of 18 and was left to help her father raise her siblings. She met her first husband Walter Barnscher in Fort St. John, B.C. at the army canteen where she worked. Mary and Walter were married in 1947 in Fort St. John where Walter?s army career took them to live in many cities across Canada. Mary and Walter were blessed with six children; Carol (Don), Walter (Jean), Sylvia (Jim), Angela (Denis), Dan (Alexis), and Judy. Walter passed away on September 21, 1972. Mary worked for many years at Deans Caf and at the Richmond Airport Inn providing for the needs of her family. Mary moved back to Fort St. John from Vancouver in 1990. She met her husband John in church where they were both active in the church cleaning ministry. They were married on June 27, 1992. They made their home in Charlie Lake B.C. and later moved to Heritage Manor. Mary was a loving and caring mother, grandmother and great- grandmother; always putting her children and others before herself. Our precious memories of mom are the many birthday cakes she baked and decorated for everyone. She spent many hours at her sewing machine, sewing many memories for family and friends. Her gardens were always lush and beautiful with an abundance of vegetables and flowers; and we will all miss her cooking. Mary will be sadly missed by her husband, John; her six children, sixteen grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren; ten step-children, twenty two step-grandchildren, and seven step-great-grandchildren, and all her friends especially those at Heritage Manor.
