Obituary Earle Burton Wilson was born October 6, 1927 in Port Reeve, Saskatchewan, the fourth child of Earle and Jessie Wilson. Bert was four years old when the family traveled from Port Reeve, Sask. arriving in Rose Prairie in November 1931. Bert had seven siblings, Jim, Dave, Hazel, Jessie, Margaret, Alex and Allen.Growing up Bert rode horses and helped work the farm. He attended school at the original log Upper Pine School and then North Pine School. Bert loved to play baseball, he was a very fast runner and won many races at picnics and fairs. When he was 21 years old he bought his own farm in Rose Prairie and in 1948 he met Frances. Frances became his loving wife on July 18, 1950.In 1955 Bert and Fran chose to stay home and farm full time; this included grain farming, raising pigs, chickens, turkeys, cows, and horses. They sold milk, cream, eggs, butter and turkeys. Bert also spent many hours in the Saskatoon patch picking berries. Bert and Fran were blessed with four daughters and one son. Barbara was born in March 1957, Debra in November 1958, Kathy in April 1962, and Dennis in May 1964. It was the heartbreak of their lives when they lost their precious son Dennis when he was only seventeen months of age but Bert and Fran continued to move forward with courage and love and Terri was born the following year in December 1966. They built a beautiful new 3 bedroom home which the family moved into on December 22, 1961. It had all the modern luxuries of indoor plumbing, heating, and running water. This is the house that Bert and Fran have called home for over 46 years.Bert and Fran went on many holidays including Hawaii, Fiji and Australia. They enjoyed seeing the other parts of the world and meeting many wonderful people. Bert started driving school bus in 1966. He took the position temporarily to help someone out and ended up driving the bus for 10 years. Bert?s next venture was into the oil patch. This led him to eventually form his own company, Accurate Operating Services Ltd. He retired from the oil patch when he was 73 years old.Bert was a kind, generous and humble man who put his family first. He loved the land he farmed and never complained about the weather or the disappointments of a farmerThose that will remember dearly this wonderful man are his wife Frances, daughters: Barb and her husband Ted, their 3 children Lisa and husband Lane, Carmen and Kyle; Debra and Gary and her 2 children Trevor and wife Lori and their son Kayden, Jamie and her daughter Tyanna.
