Obituary of Winnifred Zenkewick

Obituary Winnifred Alice (Houle) Zinkewhich better known as Winnie was born in Fernie B.C. on July 17, 1923 to Alfred and Viletta Williams. She passed away on April 28, 2008 in Fort St. John after living a full life of 84 years.In Winnie?s younger years, she worked as a waitress as well as many other different jobs. Some of her hobbies included knitting and playing Bingo. This is also the time when Winnie met her first Husband Harvey Houle. The two had four wonderful children together; three loyal sons Herbert, Keith and James and one beautiful daughter Ethel. Herbert, being the eldest, passed away in 2004.In 1973 Winnie met her second husband Peter Zinkewich in Edmonton, Alberta. Peter passed away in 2001. A short time later Winnie?s children moved her up to Fort St. John to be closer to them. When Winnie first moved up she lived with her son James and his wife Melissa. A few years later Winnie moved in with her daughter Ethel and remained there until her passing.Winnie will be greatly missed by her brother Robert Williams, her sons Keith and James, her daughter Ethel, her daughter in-law Goldie and Melissa, as well as many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and close friends who have grown to be a part of Winnie?s family. Winnie will forever live on in our heart, rest in peace mother. Services
