Obituary of Norm Busche

Obituary There are two kinds of people... Those from Montney and those who wished they were. Norm Busche is one of the main reasons for saying this. Norman Stanley Busche was born on March 9th, 1934 in Montney B.C. to parents Frank and Margaret Busche. He was a little brother for Zylpha, Don, and Cal and a big brother for Mae. Catherine "Cathy" Smith and Norm were married in 1956 at the North Pine Church. Then kids...Sheri, Shad, Kelly and Cole were raised in the same Montney house that Norm was born in. Their little girl, Margo, was born in 1960 but sadly passed away that same year. Norm farmed, worked on the rigs and for many years, operated wells in the North Peace. He was also a favourite member of the Montney community. Norm loved many things in life. For example coffee, Norm always had time for coffee and a visit especially if he was drinking it with friends and family. Cooking, from a very young age Norm was always in the kitchen cooking everything from potato soup to elephants (deep fried dough). Norm liked hunting, especially when his grandkids were there to share the experience. Working with wood, many people have the hope chests and trunks to prove it. Cherish these gifts as they came from the heart. Norm loved a good prank and was always up for some laughs and a good time. Storytelling, Norm could tell stories that made you laugh, that made you cry and even stories that made himself cry. Most of all, Norm loved his family and he was their hero. Norm was a hero and will be greatly missed by his wife Cathy, his children Sheri, Shad, Kelly and Cole, his grandchildren Misty, Glenda, Tanner, Dana, Trent, Ty, and Shad, his sons-in law Manley and David and his daughters-in-law Deb and Sandy. He also leaves his sisters Zylpha and Mae, his brothers Don and Cal and his many special nieces and nephews. There are many things we can learn from Norm, but in this day and age where it seems that saving time has become more important than giving time, we must remember how important it is to make time for each other the way he did... especially for those you love. There are two kinds of people... those who knew Norm... and those who wished they had. He's left us a legacy of love and laughter. Thanks, Norm. Services
