Obituary Nicholas Yovetich"Airport Nick" May 2, 1935 - October 28, 2008 Nick was born in Noranda, Quebec on May 2, 1935 and passed away on October 28, 2008 in Fort St. John at the age of 73.He leaves to cherish his memory, his life partner Denise Stromberg; step-children Doug (Carrie) Stromberg, Debbie McNeil, DeeDee (Jim) James, Ed Stromberg, Sandy (Hugh) Sewell, Tim (Debbie) Stromberg and Kirk Stromberg as well as eighteen grandchildren, one great-grandchild, god-daughters; Janeil Mackay and Dana Dunne and good friends Neil and Janette Mackay.Nick worked for CP Air until his retirement in 1979 and then worked for Opsco for ten years. He began working for Time Air in 1990 as their shop man and has worked for Bailey Helicopters for the last ten years. He had many certifications for airplane maintenance and while at Bailey he got his helicopter certification as well.Nick was well known for his love of the airport where he would sit in the cab of his truck or stand in the driveway and watch all the activity. His greatest love was for Denise and his grandchildren and they will miss the many phone calls from "Papa" of love and encouragement.Nick will be greatly missed by all who know him. Services
