Obituary of Burnell Elgie

Obituary Burnell ElgieNovember 25, 2008 to December 3, 2008 Burnell was born in Chatham Ontario to John and Myrtle Elgie. He lived and worked around Ontario until he moved to Vancouver with his brother Ernie. From there, he moved to Saskatchewan in 1946 where he met his beloved Alice. They were married in 1949 and in 1950 had their son Ron. Burnell, Alice, Ron and his sister and brother-in-law moved to Fort St. John where Burnell worked in logging camps. Marilyn was born in 1952 then Betty came along in 1953. The family moved to Charlie Lake in 1959 and they completed their family with the birth of Debbie that same year. Burnell then worked for the Department of Highways and retired after 36 years of service. Just before retiring, Burnell started a snow-plowing and rototilling business. He was still snow-plowing the year before he passes away. Services
