Obituary Teresa Katherine Prodaniuk (nee Reddekopp)(December 16, 1968 - June 18, 2009) It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Teresa Prodaniuk at the age of 40. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends! Teresa is survived by her husband (Ken), son (Kendall), daughter (Keira), parents (John and Betty Reddekopp), sister, brother-in-law and nephews (Carol, Kent, Chris and Chase), brother, sister-in-law and nephews (Trevor, Wendy, Tye and Lukas), father-in-law and mother-in-law (Mike and Eve Prodaniuk), brother-in-law, sister-in-law and nieces (Todd, Kim, Hunter, Quinn and Carys Prodaniuk), brother-in-law, sister-in-law, niece and nephews (Ken, Colleen, Joshua, Chantelle, Joel and Caitlyn Sommer). Teresa was born on December 16, 1968 in Fort St. John and lived her entire life in Fort St. John and area. Teresa attended Central Elementary School and Bert Bowes Junior High School before graduating from North Peace Senior Secondary School in 1986. Since 1989, Teresa has worked at the Quality Inn, formerly the Pioneer Inn, in various capacities, most recently as an administrative assistant. On June 4, 2007, Teresa and Ken were married in Fort St. John. On February 28, 2003, Teresa and Ken celebrated the birth of their son Kendall Austin Prodaniuk and about four and a half years later, on August 15, 2007, the birth of their daughter Kiera Elizabeth Prodaniuk. Teresa was diagnosed with colon cancer in October, 2007. Shortly thereafter she had surgery to remove a tumor in her colon, endured chemotherapy and, since October, 2008, when it was determined that the cancer had metastasized, has been in palliative care. Teresa succumbed to cancer on the evening of June 18, 2009 at her parents' home in Fort St. John with her parents by her side. With God's grace, Teresa's final days and weeks were mostly pain free and peaceful! Teresa is now at home with the Lord!
