August 12, 2009To Cec & family members,We were sorry to be away on holiday when the news came of Edna's passing. We knew she was very ill, but still it came as a shock. As you all know Edna was our bookkeeper for many years. She was very efficient and always tried to do the best for her clients. She enjoyed getting "one up" on the tax department whenever she could. She fought for her client's best interest. Edna always had a smile and loved to have us visit with her and Cec. She expressed an interest in our children, inquiring about them as the years went by, and was tickled as our granchildren came along. She was interested about where the boys and Ken were working, as both she and Cec were knowledgeable about the oilfield, and this vast area of the North Peace. I remember the "SOS Shop" with its jungle of plants, and the welcoming atmosphere felt there. At this time of saddness, Ken & I would like to express our condolences to the family. Edna will be missed, & remembered by all who knew her. Sincerely, Judy & Ken Hawthorne
