Obituary of Margaret Schonwald

Obituary Margaret Mary Schonwald June 11, 1947 - January 22, 2010 Margaret Mary Schonwald (Bidulka) was born on June 11, 1947 in the Fort St. John Providence Hospital. She was the first of nine children for Peter and Gladys Bidulka. Margaret spent her early years growing up in the Sunrise / Two Rivers Area. Margaret very much enjoyed playing baseball with school mates in summer and hockey in the winter. Margaret met Melvin Wolfe in 1965 and the two were married in December of that year. Margaret had two children in this marriage; James Melvin was born in Kelowna in 1966 and Debora Lynn was born in Fort St. John in 1968. Melvin died in a car accident with a friend in 1974.In 1975 Margaret met Ken Schonwald who was seven years her junior and in the beginning of 1976 they married. Margaret had one more child with this marriage; Shelley Ann was born in Fort St. John on December 1976. Margaret enjoyed many things in her lifetime including dancing, hunting and fishing, and spending many happy hours in the outdoors. In her later years she took up needlepoint work doing many embroidery and cross stitch projects.Margaret was above all a mother hen to her younger siblings, children and grandchildren. She passed away January 22, 2010 after a brief battle with cancer. Memorial services for Margaret were held on January 28, 2010 from the Charlie Lake Community Church. Those that wish to make donations in memory of Margaret can do so to the Canadian Cancer Society. Margaret will be greatly missed as a wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Services
