Obituary of Gertrude Fehr

Obituary Gertie Fehr August 19, 1918 - February 17, 2010 Gertrude Ina (Montgomery) Fehr was born August 19th, 1918 to parents William and Ina. After a lengthy struggle with Alzheimer's, Gertie passed away on February 17th, 2010 at the North Peace Care Centre in Fort St. John, BC. Gertie was an early pioneer in the Peace Country, having moved to the Boundary Lake area about 1952 with her husband John and two sons, Wayne and Douglas. John and Gertie lived for a time in Quesnel and Babine Lake. Gertie moved back to Fort St. John when John passed away in 1982 and has lived here until her passing. Gertie was a loving, caring soul, who will be dearly missed by family and friends alike, she was happiest serving others. She leaves behind sons Wayne (Linda) Fehr, Douglas (Barb) Fehr.Grandchildren: Wendy (Chris) Wheat, Warren Fehr, Tracey-Lynn (David) Isaak, Brenden Fehr, Arlin Fehr, Corey Fehr, Carla (Korey) Fehr. Gertie was predeceased by granddaughter Tara Fehr. Great Grandchildren: Kara, Kaymia, Shayla, Cody and Desiree.Services for Gertrude were held on Tuesday, February 23rd, 2010 at the Christian Life Church. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Gertrude's name to the North Peace Care Centre, or to the Alzheimer Society. Services
