Obituary of Mary Richter

Obituary Mary Richter, a long time resident of Fort St. John, passed away March 11, 2010.Mary was born at her family home in Rosenheim Alberta, April 9, 1916 to Helen and Phillip Sperling. In 1937, she came with her parents and many siblings to the Baldonnel area. She then began her many years of employment at the Providence Hospital.In 1941 Mary married Al Richter, the son of another pioneering family in Fort St. John. The next years were spent at Taylor Flats, and farming at Charlie Lake. Later Mary went back to work at the Providence Hospital until retirement in 1980. Mary was predeceased by her husband in 1996.She leaves to mourn; her children, Lawrence 'Butch' Richter, Theresa Snyder (Walter),her grandchildren, Jennifer and Matthew Snyder and great grandson Oliver Snyder,her brother Alois Sperling (Ivy), Sisters Theresa Ollenberger and many special neices and nephews.She was 'Grandma Mary' and 'Aunty Mary' to many others that will also miss her dearly. Mary enjoyed a long honorable life and was loved by many. We will all miss her strong presence in our lives. Services
