Obituary of George Alvin McLelland

Obituary George Alvin McLelland, 78 of Charlie Lake, British Columbia, passed away on December 23, 2010 in Fort St. John, British Columbia. George was born in Barrhead, Alberta to Issac & Louise McLelland on January 29, 1932. He married Cecile Yvonne Bordeleau on February 25, 1955 in Prince George, British Columbia. George worked as an Oilfield Bettery Operator. George is predeceased by his mother Louise, father Issac, his sons Blair and Danny and his grandsons Travis Donofrio and Joshua McLelland. He is survived by his wife Cecil McLelland, son Neal McLelland, daughters Janice Mackey and Diane Donofrio, daughter-in-law Susan McLelland, sister Edith Molzan, grandchildren Sean Cooper, Cara & Shandalynn Donofrio, Melissa, Nicole and Joshua McLelland, Brad Mackey, Taiahamira Donofrio-Tijani and his great-granddaughter Emma Barr. Funeral Services will be held 11:00am Friday, December 31, 2010at Royal Canadian Legion Hall. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery. Donations in memory of George can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society 108 9325 100 street, Fort St. John, B.C. V1J 4N4. The McLelland family wishes to extend their sincere thanks to Dr. Watt, Dr. Parker, the nursing staff at the Fort St. John Hospital and Jennifer at Abbeyfield House for all their help and support during this difficult time.
