Obituary of Violet Eva Wilson

Obituary Violet Wilson was born on April 4, 1920 in Landis, Saskatchewan to Michael and Janet Marshall. She moved at the age of eight with her family to Rose Prairie in 1928. She married Bert Wilson Sr. on July 10, 1939 at her parent's home in Rose Prairie. They remained on the farm until Bert's health started to fail, when they rented an apartment in Fort St. John. After Bert passed away Violet moved to the Elk's Sunset Home until 2006 when she moved to the North Peace Intermediate Care Facility, until her passing. She passed away peacefully on January 7, 2011 in her room at the Care Home. Violet was predeceased by her parents, Janet and Mike Marshall; her husband, Bert of 50 years; Twin sister Mary, and 2 other sisters: Gladys, Annie; brothers Harvey, Eugene and Bobby. Violet is survived by her sisters; Jean (Len) Copeland, Louise (Cliff) Babcock and one brother; Bill Marshall (Ruby). Children; Janet (Tom) Ferguson, Bill (Sandra) Wilson, Elizabeth Wilson (Jim Roberts) and Ted (Marcia) Wilson. Grandchildren: Rocky, Rodney (Sharon), Marlene (Dean), Marilyn (Wade), Shawna (Darren), Clint (Tracy), Brent (Kerri), Laurie (Danny), Darren (Renee), David, Natasha (Wes), Sarah (Clint), Sabrina (Trevor), Carrie (Leland), and 32 Great Grandchildren and one great great grandchild. An Interment will be at 11:00am Friday January 14, at the Rose Prairie Cemetery. A celebration of Violet's life will follow at 2:00pm from the Peace Lutheran Church.
