Obituary of Rea Chmelyk
Obituary Rea Chmelyk of Fort St. John passed away January 28, 2011 at the Fort St. John General Hospital at 88 years of age.
Rea was born January 1, 1923 in Tango Flag, Saskatchewan to parents John and Sarah Harbin.
Rea was predeceased by her first husband Hjlmar Haggstrom, her daughter Sandra Tesar, her husband Peter Chmelyk and her companion Dennis Desaulplef.
Rea is survived by her Son John (Rita) Haggstrom, her five grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren and by the large Harbin family on the prairies.
Funeral services for Rea will be held Friday, February 4, 2011 at 2:00pm from the Mennonite Brethren Church. A visitation will be held Wednesday, February 2, 2011 at 2:00pm from Hamre's Funeral Chapel. Interment will be held at the Fort St. John City Cemetery in the spring.
Donations in memory of Rea can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of BC.
The Chmelyk/Haggstrom family would like to thatnk the Fort St. John General Hospital Palliative Care Nurses and their friends and family for their support during this difficult time.
