Obituary of Ethel Rutledge

Obituary Ethel Mary Ann Rutledge (Haines) passed away on March 21, 2011 in Fort St. John, British Columbia at 99 years of age. She was born on June 30, 1911 in Hindringham Norfolk, England to parents Henry and Janet Haines. On March 13, 1931, Ethel married her true love Leo George Rutledge in Hythe, Alberta. Ethel is predeceased by her beloved husband Leo Rutledge, her brother Stanley Haines and her son-in-law Hubert Powell. Ethel is survived by her loving children Valerie, Leo (Glenys) and Linnet (Peter), her nine grandchildren, twenty one great grandchildren and her two great-great grandchildren. Funeral service will be held Monday, March 28, 2011 at 2:00pm from the Mennonite Brethren Church in Fort St. John with interment to following at the Hudson's Hope cemetery at 6:00pm. There will be a visitation at Hamre's Funeral Chapel on Monday, March 28, 2011 from 11:00-12:00pm. If so desired expressions of sympathy can be made in Ethel's memory to the Fort St. John Hospital Foundation. The Rutledge family would like to give a special thank you to Dr. Watt, Claire Harwood, and Susan Worrel for all their care and support.
