My favourite memory of my 'little' brother occurred half a century ago. We were less than ten years of age. Brian set us a daunting task. He determined to capture and incarcerate as many Lady bugs as possible. I was his willing co-conspirator.Our prison of choice? A tiny match box. No fewer than twenty-six hapless insects fell prey to our design. I know; I was there, and I could count. Consider the manual dexterity and the unwavering determination and co-operation this feat required. We were elated and not a little surprized by our success. Who knew that we were capable of such a Herculean accomplishment? Brian said,"I told ja". We ran to our mother. With a singular flourish, Brian presented the match box to her. Santa Claus has never been so generous. With the solemnity of Solomon, Brian admonitioned her not to open the box. Pandora's box held fewer demons.Later we returned. The kitchen was crawlng with scarlet insects.Brian faced his mother with a look of abject disbelief."I peeked", she said.

My 'little' brother Brian revelled in a special notoriety. When his daughter Jacqueline was born on Christmas Day,he would smile smugly and say, "only God, Trudeau, and ME!"Lovingly Remembered by his sister Sandra.

Brian and I started swamping for Kaps Transport on the same day. We were headed up to Pointed Mountain with Duke for a short two month stint. It was a good thing Duke was driving because the two swampers were in no shape to do it, due to the party from the night before. I do remember that Brian put his all into whatever he did.Fondly remembered by The Swamp Savage.
