Obituary of Jim Hartnell
Obituary Jim Hartnell, longtime resident of Elmworth, Alberta and Wonowon, British Columbia, passed away in Elmworth on January 4, 2012 at the age of 71 years.
Born August 30, 1940 in Rio Grande, Alberta he was raised by his parents with his older brother and sister until the age of 17. He moved to the Wonowon area where he met and married his life long love, Tina. They lived in Wonowon for the next 40 years.
Jim worked in the logging industry most of his life. From 1966 to 1976 he worked for Westcoast Transmission. In 1976 he went back to logging and bought his first logging truck. He had his own trucking business from 1976 to 1998. In 1998 they moved to Elmworth.
He will be sadly missed by his wife of 52 years, Tina, his children Diane (John), Debbie (Terry), Michael and Tammy (Jim). His grandchildren Teriney, Alex, Britany, Jamie, Caitlyn, Jordan, Michaela and Brandon. His great-grandchildren Adrianna, Gracie, Hannah, Owen and Jonathan. His brother Larry and his sister Irene. He was pre-deceased by his mother and father, Jesse and Evelyn Hartnell. He will be sadly missed by those who new him.
In lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy can be made to the STARS Foundation, 101C 11010 Airport Dr., Grande Prairie, AB T8V 7Z5.
