My Dad,My Dad lived a long farmers life, passing away at the age of 95. While we are sad, we are also happy for him, as he's now joined our Mom, Dorothy, his wife of 64 years. We know they're busy catching up on the past 8 years since her death and also reminiscing about the past as they often did on the farm.Dad was a practical joker and always had a twinkle in those blue eyes of his, once when a friend came to the farm to pick berries, Dad put a potato under her gas pedal and as she was trying to start the vehicle, she couldn't get the gas pedal to move, he was standing there laughing when the potato was found. He loved to tease the girls at the care home, they became his family, when he moved in there. We are so thankful for their good care of our Dad.He loved his horses and spent many hours both training and riding. The coffee pot was always on and when neighbors stopped by for a visit there was always time to stop and chat and maybe play a game of crib.He enjoyed his snuff and sometimes could be caught spitting in a plant if an empty can was not in sight.I remember times when I was young and Dad would be walking by the dugout in his rubber boots if he spied a garter snake he would do a dance to get away, he sure didn't like those snakes.Dad spent many hours picking berries and giving them away to family and friends, their berry patch was something else, as was the potato patch.Yes we will miss you Dad, but we have so many wonderful memories that will tide us over till we meet again.Love your daughter, Bonnie and husband Perry
