Dear Joyce and Ed and families,Mum told me of Bertha's passing the other week, I'm so sorry to hear of your loss. I have such warm memories of Bertha, she had such a kind and generous heart. You probably won't recall but when I was in elementary school my sister and I would come play piano at your parents' place once a week. Your Mum was such a lovely gentle woman, feeding us tea and cookies, patiently encouraging us to practice. it was wonderful spending time with her and I cherish the memory of her kind face, and your father's too. Joyce, Ed and Family,As I thought about memories with your Mom, certain things came flooding in: Dominos, Card Games, Dinners, Cake, Laughter...all great things that bring on a big smile. For some reason I was always surprised by her love of good chocolate at her age and my eyes lit up when I saw she was working on a puzzle and if I could join her...someone after my own heart :)I'm glad to have known your Mom as she was so kind.
