Obituary of John Francis MacDonald

Obituary John F. MacDonald 1938 ~ 2013 It is with deepest sadness that we announce the passing of John Francis MacDonald of Fort St. John, BC who passed away on February 25, 2013 at the Fort St. John Hospital at the age of 74. John was born in Inverness on the island of Cape Breton, Nova Scotia on December 10, 1938. John had an impressive career as a master corporal in the Royal Canadian Air Force from the years 1957-1981. During that time he married his love Catherine Chalmers on April 5, 1973 in the province of Nova Scotia. John leaves to mourn his beautiful wife, Catherine MacDonald, his brothers Don MacDonald of Calgary and Rankin MacDonald of Inverness; his children Diana Wieres of Invermere, Steve and Kim MacDonald of Toronto, Bob Chalmers of Edmonton, Jaqlyn Chalmers of Calgary, John MacDonald of Toronto and Catherine MacDonald of Grand Prairie; his grandchildren Amber, John, David Douglas, Aiden, Lexi, Robert, Cory, Miranda and David; and his great grandchildren Corbin, Caelyn and Ryder. John was a loving husband, a dear father, a cherished grandfather and great grandfather. He will be dearly missed and forever loved. Expressions of sympathy may be made in memory of John to the BC Heart and Stroke Foundation. As per the family's request there will be no services at this time.
