My thoughts and prayers go out to you Dorothy and Bruce's family. I remember having "Clurg" come to visit us at mom and dad's. He did have great stories and a great hearty laugh. Louise Thompson.

My deepest condolences to Dorothy and the family. I knew "Clurg" well, however, he was a good friend of my bother, Wayne Johnson, who just passed away in Nov./12. Clurg was a very kind hearted person with a good sense of humour. He will be missed! My sympathies. Garry Johnson.

My condolences to Bruce's family and friends. We reconnected via e-mail a few years ago after spending our formative years together in Wilkie in the 1950's. Many a night was spent at the Thompson's house watching one of the first TV's in town. Bruce had a good heart and sharing with friends and neighbours was what he did. Including a lot of laughs. I regret we couldn't have met in person at the Wilkie Centennial but I understand Bruce's health made travel difficult. But those wonderful early memories endure. Rest in peace, Bruce.Dale Nikiforuk

Bruce or Clurg as he was known growing up as kids in Wilkie, Sask. was my first friend. We were together most every day and got into a fair share of trouble in our small town. I will always remember getting to go to the family cottage at Meota on Jackfish lake every summer. After leaving Wilkie and going in different directions we always kept in touch. Will miss you dear friend. Harold and Alice Shury Richmond, B.C.

We met Bruce in 1979. He drove for the ambulance department and a good friend of ours drove tow truck. The friend got married and we were having a party for them when a call came in so party had to stop because the ambulance driver and tow truck driver had to leave. Bruce phoned me from the ambulance and asked if I would take the beer out of the freezer. Trip was done and the party started again. Tow truck and ambulance drivers sort of go hand in hand. One time we heard Bruce yelling no Abby no and we couldn't figure out what he was doing. There was a thunder storm and Abby ran Bruce over. looked funny him laying on the ground on his back and the dog no where around. She did come back.
