Obituary of Heather Palmer

Obituary ~Heather Olive Palmer~ Passed away January 29, 2014 at the age of 74 in the town of Fort St. John, British Columbia. She was born on November 30, 1939 to parents Dorothy and Maurice Moir - Porteous in Calcutta, India. Later on, as she matured, she married Brian Eugene Archie Palmer on December 7, 1963 in London, England. Throughout Heather's impressive fifty seven year career , she worked at the Royal Bank, School District #60 and Aurora Chiropractic. Heather belonged to several clubs and organizations through the years, some include St. Martin's Alter Guild, FSJ Hospital Women's Auxiliary, she was President of Council of Woman, Director of FSJ Historical Society and Co-ordinator for the FSJ Hospital Candy Stripers. Heather leaves to mourn her husband Brian Palmer; daughter and son-in-law Anita and Michael Laing; son and daughter-in-law Gavin and Terri Palmer ; and grandchildren Sydney, Ashtyn and Mikayla. Special thanks go to Drs. Hamill, Fernaudo, Debruyn and Gullason; and also to all of the wonderful nurses and support staff at the Fort St. John Hospital who treated Heather with such kindness and care. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to the FSJ Hospital Auxiliary or the Mother Teresa Missionaries of Charity.
