Obituary Obituary
Pauline Adeline Peterson
Pauline Adeline Pahl was born on August 8, 1940 to Carl and Agnes Pahl. She
attended the Conquerville School for Grades 1-8, then, at age 13 moved to Lucky Strike
for 3 years to live with her sister Margaret and her husband Jack. While there, she
attended Masinasin School, as well as cooked, cleaned, babysat, and looked after
turkeys. She moved back to Conquerville for her Grade 12 year, then went to Senator
Gershaw in Bow Island for another year to upgrade for nursing school. After attending
nursing school for one semester, she decided it was not for her. Pauline married the
love of her life Paul Peterson on June 18, 1960. They would have celebrated their 54th
anniversary this June. To this union was born four children, Craig, Joy, Carol, and
Darin. In 1980, Paul and Pauline moved to Fort St John, and the farm at Mile 30 Alaska
Highway became their permanent home. Pauline served in the church for many years
teaching Pioneer Girls, Ladies Bible study groups and Sunday School, as well as
serving on the WMC. She was well noted for her love of flowers, gardening, and
photography; as well as her devotion to her family and most of all, her beloved husband
Paul. To all who knew her, it was obvious that the most important thing in Pauline's life
was her personal relationship with Jesus Christ. After fighting a courageous battle with
cancer, Pauline passed away peacefully, at the age of 73, and went home to be with the
Lord on April 11, 2014.
