Many had the chance to know him, but only a few of us got the chance to know him as "Grandpa." Growing up, some of my favourite memories were things that seemed so small at the time, like ice fishing, double scoop ice cream cones and being the families smallest photographer with disposable cameras. Even some of the bad ones like jumping around the box of his truck, going on about how no one wanted to be my friend because i had the chicken pox. Grandpa was a great man, with a huge heart, and an even larger love for his family. The past few years were filled with phone calls, and hearing the joy in his voice when he spoke of memories & new stories about our family was usually the highlight of my week. It's not goodbye, it's simply 'see you later.' Until then, keep on looking out for us Grandpa, our family needs your presence more than ever before. :heart::dizzy:

I was shocked to hear about uncle Clarence's passing. I still remember the time he heard I was going to the Calgary Stampede with the Okotoks cousins and gave me some spending money. :)Our condolences to auntie Elaine and to my cousins and their families. Hearing of Clarence's death brings back to my mind the death of his twin brother Clifford, who was my husband, 40 some years ago. Completely different circumstances, but still the same shock to the person receiving the news. My thoughts and prayers are with Eaine and with Jason, Allison and Jennifer.
