Obituary Richard Harry Meyer, of Fort St. John, BC, passed away on December 19, 2014. Richard was 72. Richard was born March 14, 1942 in Humboldt, SK to parents John & Hilda Meyer. On July 16, 1966, Richard married Tanya Meyer (nee Rogers) of Fort St. John, BC. Richard's career was as a butcher for Lake Meat Processing. Richard was predeceased by: His parents, John & Hilda Meyer; brothers, Melvin Meyer and Murray Meyer; sister, Millie Raskob; bothers-in-law, Jerry Raskob, Harold Doepker, and Ben Wourms. Richard is survived by: His loving wife of 48 years, Tanya Meyer (nee Rogers); his son Des (Melanie) Meyer; daughter Tammie (Curtis) Kearns; grandchildren, Chelsea, Rikki and Kali Kearns, Kori Meyer; brothers, Dave (Florence) Meyer and Randy Meyer; sisters, Viola Wourms, Adeline Meyer, Marg Doepker, Leona (Maurice) Ronspies; and sisters-in-law, Dolores and Maria. The Funeral Services for Richard Meyer will be held at 2:00pm, Saturday, January 3rd, 2015 at the Evangelical Mission Church at 8220-89 Ave, Fort St. John, BC. Expressions of Sympathy in remembrance of Richard Meyer can be made toward the Fort St. John & Area Seniors Care Foundation.
