Olga was a very special lady to all of those that new her. I can remember my first time meeting Albert & Olga when I joined the Citizens on Patrol in Taylor, quite a few years ago. I was fairly close with Olga and Albert. Many nights were spent at their kitchen table drinking coffee and chatting. Olga was such a genuine, straightforward and thoughtful lady. My kids loved going over for visits and homemade goodies. There was always coffee on and something to snack on on the table. I could always count on Olga to have yeast if we ran out at the pizza place and she is one of the few people I know that would bring me ingredients to make her "one of a kind" shrimp only pizza! I will miss Olga dearly R.I.P to this very special lady and my condolences to Albert and family Melissa, Amanda and jessica

Not too many people know this but Olga catered my wedding many years ago. She and I made that meal happen...except for one thing. She wanted to make the cabbage rolls with ground beef and tomatoes. I wanted them made with rice, bacon and onions. She was a hard nut to crack...but I got them my way. Thank you Olga for making them like my Bubba did. I always appreciated how Olga was so straight forward. You definitely knew if she liked something or didn't, she didn't beat around the bush. That is so refreshing because not many people are comfortable being that honest or being around people that are so straight forward. The same with her laugh, it was so genuine, I can hear it now. I admired how she would be willing to try new things, stepping out of her comfort zone. I remember teasing her at the Library when it was fairly new, that now we would get her on the computers. She laughed and said no way; I will never be able to do that. But she did try it and mastered it for both cataloguing many books and for her own personal use! Learning Tai Chi was something that she liked doing. She would always say that it's hard for me sometimes, but I like it, it makes me feel good and I just have to do it how I can, which is the way the classes are taught. The last class I attended with her, she had to use a chair for some of the class like always, but as usual did what she could and how she could. The beautiful music of Where the River Meets the Ocean touched us all in the classes and I can see/hear it sending her off to do what she can and how she can. She will be very missed!

Ever wonder where Olga got her Facebook profile picture? It was the year of my son's convocation at the University of Calgary. Mom, my son (Robert) and I took her with us so she could visit her sister in Brooks, Alberta. After all the socials were over, we met up with Olga (who was brought in by her sister to Calgary) to continue our trek home. If you go by way of Revelstoke, you will pass by a tourist attraction called the "Enchanted Forest".
