Obituary of Carol Martin

Obituary Mrs. Carol Jean Martin died unexpectedly in the Fort St. John General Hospital on February 5, 2016 in British Columbia at the age of 72. Carol is survived by her daughter, Cindy (Garry) Huk; grandchildren, Travis (Bonnie) Huk, Kim (Mike) Howells, Brandon Huk, and Jen Huk; great grandchildren, Rhyse, Payton and Mataya; brother, Ben (Joan) Carpenter; sister, Joy (Tom) McCoy, Anne (John) Weatherill; Sister-in-law, Sally Beale; and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Samuel Martin; and daughter, Tami. Carol was born on March 20, 1943 in Dodge City, Kansas to Byron and Gladys Carpenter. She married Sam Martin on August 19, 1960 in Alexis Creek, British Columbia. Sam and Carol moved to Montney, British Columbia in the spring of 1961. Carol is remembered for the 26 years she worked in the Fort St. John Hospital and the numerous positions she filled during her time there. Carol is also remembered for her great love of all animals big and small. The family would like to thank Dr. Kamath and the nursing staff of the Fort St. John Hospital for their care. As per Carol's wishes, there will be no funeral service. Expressions of sympathy can be made to the Fort St. John SPCA. Services
