It's July 2017. And finally, On Saturday, July 15th at 2pm at Charlie Lake Community Church, we will gather as friends and family to celebrate your life, Jean. You have touched so many lives. You have inspired so many to goodness. You always tried to take the high road. No matter what you had to deal with, you stood up and did the best for others, to the best of your understanding, to the best of your ability. God saw your sacrifice and love for others and smiled. To Reg and Len; my deepest sympathies and also to little Decklin, who will get to know his grandmother only through memories shared by those who knew her and loved her.Jean was my mentor at work; my boss who quickly became my friend. Though 25 years and many miles separated us since Fort St, John hospital days we kept in touch and would surprise each other with unexpected letters, cards and small momentos. I remember several years ago Jean called and said "I've outgrown all of my clothes and I'm sending them to you!" A few days later 3 boxes of Jean's lovely cast offs arrived. My dear friend. I will miss you, but you will not be very far away. Every time I see someone looking for little ways to brighten someone else's day, I will think of you.
