I just thought of something as I was thinking of you Paul... I thought I should let you know that I always knew that your favorite team was Saskatchewan Roughriders and weren't called the Saskatchewan blue bombers ... Or the Saskatchewan Lakers lol lol...It used to kill me how how you'd get all in a tizzy and thought I was nuts and would try and explain the name to me ... I miss you so much... Kisses and hugs .. love your Bobbi

My old buddy Paul. Although we didn't keep in touch, the news of him passing brought back a flood of childhood memories. I remember Paul as a tough and tender soul. A great hockey player and a brother you count on to be there. We had a lot of good times as kids growing up in Midale. Its too bad we never connected recently. I will have to hold on to the memories. My condolences to the entire family. Allan Truman

I struggle to think of a memory that would be the perfect story to tell. Paul loved sports (broomball, baseball, & golf; cards & games; the mountains and the north country; as well as family trips. In those things, there are many memories of happy times :) He made friends easily wherever he went, and always had a smirk telling you he was up to something...even if he wasn't, he kept you thinking he was. He loved to tease everyone. Two of the proudest moments in his life were the days Chrysteen & Andy were born. He loved his kids dearly and was a very proud Dad. He spent so much time playing with you both whether it was a board game, cribbage or throwing a Frisbee, a ball, building forts (summer or winter) or riding bikes. Paul loved all kids & they were drawn to him - always young at heart. May you rest in peace, Paul knowing how much you were loved by family & friends, near and far. Gone up to the spirit in the sky..........RIP PaulJulie

I remember one year when Julie, Paul, and kids came to Bonnyville for Easter. Chrysteen had a very loose tooth (she was about 6) and Paul wanted to yank it out for her. He reached into her mouth, pulled, and started jumping around squealing like a little girl. He had yanked out her wad of gum, not the tooth! It was so funny! We all laughed so hard and talked about that for a long time. Still makes me laugh when I think about it. Paul always had a great sense of humor and could take as good as he got. Keep smiling, Paul. Say hi to Mom and Dad for us all.Sandy & Cam

I had lost touch with Paul and the rest of his family since they left Midale and was saddened to hear of his passing. I remember the times spent on the rink beside the Nelson / Sidloski house with great fondness. We would all be frozen stiff but Peggy would beckon us inside with bologna sandwiches and after we'd warmed up (skates remaining on inside the house if memory serves), the game would resume. The swearing, bleeding, fighting and sweating would continue until dark. Paul's life took him to Alberta and British Columbia but I will always remember him as being Saskatchewan Tough. My condolences to his family.

I would like to send my deepest condolences to you Chrysteen and to the rest of Paul's family... I met Paul 3 years ago while working for Pennwest up in July Lake, north of Fort Nelson.. We became friends quickly and eventually close friends after that... Paul talked always of his daughter and son with great pride. Paul always made me laugh and taught me the art of losing (always) at backgammon.. and I taught him how to lose at crib and Yahtzee... Sometimes I think he let me win just to be nice... Paul took great pride in his work and was great to work with... I will miss his deep voice, his soft words and gentle manner, his smile which made every day a little brighter. I will miss the drive abouts... I am sure your in a better place Paul and I will miss you every day... Sweet dreams till I see you again... Love you .. Robbie

I remember the summer I stayed with uncle Paul and aunti Julie. Babysitting boomer and Andy in poucecoupie. Uncle Paul and I went for a drive after he got home from work one night. About 10mins out of town he stopped the blazer and asked me if I wanted to drive. It was the first time I had driven a manual transmission. I can still see him shaking his head all laughing at me while I stalled the engine a couple times, then got generous with the throttle. Next thing I knew the gravel was flying and the engine was taking a beating lol. It has always been a very fond memory, and one that I will never forget. Thanks uncle Paul! Rest in peace
