Jakie was my oldest cousin and known as Uncle Jake to me, I have so many fond memories of him. going to visit in Surrey, and then he moved to Squamish, where i spent many hours/days with him and his family. Remember the "silver thaw" where you all moved into my parents house for 4 days, The card games we used to play. Jakie was a great dancer, super advocate for his wife, had an infectious laugh, and love to sing those German songs with Uncle Dick ( that really made no sense in English) He loved his family and spoke fondly of his children and grand children, May you remember all those good times.

When you are all celebrating Uncle Jake's life, Mom (Agatha) and I will be having a toast to him on my work lunch hour which begins at 2 p.m. It would be nice if we could wiggle our noses and be there to share memories with you in person. I have many memories of Uncle Jake over a lot of years. One thing that I really enjoyed was his love for music and dancing. I know my Mom loves the music as well - it must run in the family. Not a bad thing at all. Also loved going out to Mr. Mike's when Tim and I came to visit. I am happy that he is now reunited with his favourite dancing partner and that he will be at peace.Sent with love, Sandy
