John Tash, always a friend with a big smile. I bought a truck from him 40 plus years ago and what a good truck it was. it was a red truck and no tailgate. John said he would get me one. Very sorry to hear that John is gone. He was a colorful character that I remember from my earliest days as a child. He had wonderful stories of the old country and was always travelling to new places. "Whatchamackallit" that was his word!. John always had time for a chat whenever we met at the grocery store, Canadian Tire or Tim Hortons, and I appreciated his interest in whatever I was doing and my family.In a way, John was family to me and I would have enjoyed one last cup of tea at his beautiful house with the arched roof, Russian furniture and paintings, and the stories.I think he will be happy to see his son Brian again.
